Football Played The Right Way

Under 11s

The under 11s played ADASC who topped their league, last time the two teams met the match ended in a 1-1 draw. Espial who were third in the league where looking for a win to close the gap at the top of the league. The match saw Espial come close several times early on with saves from the away teams goal keeper and near misses from the main striker. Finally after several near missed the main striker for Espial clinically slotted home the first goal for Espial to make it 1-0 before half time. The second half continued with Espial creating all the main chances, Espial were never really troubled by ADASC even when not playing at their best on this day. Espial finished two more chances to end the match 3-0, 3 more points to push them closer to the top of the league.

Under 12s

The Under 12s were another team who were playing top of the table Chesterfield Junior Blues, the last meeting saw Espial put 7 goals past junior blues. Espial knew that this match would not be as one sided as the last. The match was end to end with both teams creating lots of chances during both halves of the game. The second half saw Espial go 3-2 being but it was not long before Espial made it 3-3 to set up a grandstand finish. Junior blues goal keeper was in inspired form as Espial pushed for the winner. Finally before the end Espial got the winner that they were looking for, both teams were a credit to their clubs with a fantastic performance throughout.

Under 13s

Espials under 13s were the only team to play away but this did not phase all the players for this team. The under 13s remain the only unbeaten team out of all the Espial team, they managed to not disappoint. They arguably played their best football of the season on this day, the passing and movement were a joy to watch. The main striker who has been exceptional this season scored 4 goals in the match that Espial dominated. The final score saw Espial come out 7-1 victory against Shirebrooke so continue to impress with their great performances.

Under 14s, 15s and 16s

Other home fixture saw the Under 14s play Walesby, Under 15s play Beaurk Utd and under 16s play Shirebrook. Once again all the teams played football which was a joy to watch, all the team are starting to play expressive football. The Under 14s beat Walesby 7-1, under 15s beat Beauerk 12-1 and the under 16s beat Shirebrooke2-1 after coming from behind. The day saw all the teams from under 11s to under 16s win their matches over the weekend. All the teams won playing football in the right way with some of their opponent adding to create some fantastic matches. All these teams have been newly created this season so it is unbelievable to see how well they have adapted to the Espial philosophy. Hopefully they can all continue to impress till the end of the season.
